Fast-rising artist King Cruff has dropped his latest single “BUNCH” via Tuff Gong Collective/Universal Music Canada, serving up a bold mix of hip-hop energy and reggae flavour. Produced by 2X GRAMMY winner !llmind and Don Mills—known for work with J. Cole, Giveon, and Juice WRLD—the track blends heavy, vibrating basslines with infectious drum patterns and King Cruff’s rapid-fire flow.

While lyrically rooted in witty, Dancehall-inspired humour, the song carries a deeper message. “I’m very much in my hip-hop bag on ‘BUNCH’ but I also wanted to bring a sarcastic sense of humour to the lyrics like earlier Dancehall songs I remember listening to,” King Cruff explains. “But as funny as the song is, it’s actually talking about being faithful to your partner.” With lines like “Stand at attention when I stand up for my queen” and “Don’t you know Jamaican men do not cheat,” the track positions Jamaican men as the original “lover mans.”

“BUNCH” follows King Cruff’s 2024 debut EP WHAT HAVE I ‘DON, a genre-blending project featuring collaborations with Skip Marley, Stonebwoy, Jag.Huligin, and Solo YT, alongside production from Banx & Ranx, Tessellated, Circa Eleven, and more.

2025 has already been a milestone year for the Canada-based artist. After performing at SXSW earlier this year, his single “FALLBACK” featuring Runkus earned him his first JUNO Award nomination for Reggae Recording of the Year. He has since delivered standout performances at Departure Festival and Cali Vibes Festival in California, and recently returned to Toronto’s Drake Underground—the site of his first headlining show—for a high-energy NXNE set.

King Cruff’s summer calendar is packed with festival appearances, including Festival d’été de Québec, Breaking Sound in Brooklyn, Sommo Festival in Prince Edward Island, and a coveted opening slot for The Roots at the Backyard Music Festival in Victoria, BC. With “BUNCH”, he continues to carve a unique lane in the global music scene, blending genres while staying true to his Jamaican roots.
