450 and Damian Marley’s ‘Good Morning’ Charts in Over 35 Countries

Good Morning, the collaboration between dancehall artiste 450 and Damian “Jr Gong” Marley, has achieved major international success, earning chart placements across several countries since its October 16 release.
Produced by Jahvanie “Weekday” Morrison, the track reached number one on Audiomack in the United States and secured number four and number six on iTunes in the United Kingdom and Japan, respectively.
It also secured number one placements on the iTunes chart in Grenada and The Bahamas, a number three YouTube ranking in Nairobi, Kenya, and the number 10 position on YouTube’s trending list in Jamaica. Overall, he said, the song has charted in more than 35 countries.
“It has been great. We’ve gotten radio plays from all over the world,” Weekday said, adding that the placement in Kenya marked a first for him.
The accompanying music video surpassed three million YouTube views in less than a week. Shot in Miami and Jamaica, the visuals were directed by AKA Ruppi and AM Visuals.
Beyond the chart placements and viewership, Weekday says the response from listeners has been particularly rewarding, with many welcoming the song’s message and musical direction.
“I’ve gotten countless amounts of messages and comments from fans saying they weren’t expecting this, and they’re grateful for the message and change in the musical production,” he said.
The release represents a personal milestone for Weekday, who described working with Damian Marley as an ambition he had held since entering the music industry.
“This has been one of my dream collaborations since I’ve started working in the music industry, and to be living one of my dreams is a truly amazing feeling,” he said.
While Weekday previously collaborated with Julian Marley, Good Morning marks 450’s first collaboration with a member of the Marley family.
With the song already attracting listeners across multiple territories, the producer hopes its early momentum will translate into lasting international appeal. His goal, he said, is “for it to become a global hit”, adding that “it has already made a strong start”.
For Weekday, the production also reflects his commitment to musical versatility and his willingness to explore different sounds.
“It just shows that I’m doing what a real music producer is supposed to do. Produce different types of music and not just repeat the same patterns and melodies over and over again,” he added.
