WELCOME TO JAMROCK REGGAE CRUISE MARKS MORE THAN A DECADE AT SEA
Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise, co-founded by GRAMMY-winning artist Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, returns for its 11th annual voyage November 11–16, 2026, sailing from Miami to Jamaica aboard Norwegian Joy.
This year’s lineup connects the sounds, generations and traditions that have shaped reggae and dancehall for more than half a century.
Roots reggae and Rastafarian consiousness run through Burning Spear, Sizzla, Capleton, Junior Reid, Richie Spice and Sister Carol. Barrington Levy, Flourgon, Johnny P, Terror Fabulous, Professor Nuts and L.U.S.T. reach across the formative eras of dancehall and sound-system culture, while Beenie Man, Elephant Man, Mr. Lexx, Ghost and Tony Matterhorn represent dancehall’s explosive global rise in the 1990s and 2000s. Ding Dong & the Ravers Clavers bring the music’s inseparable relationship with Jamaican street dance to the stage. Gyptian represents the melodic reggae and lovers rock wave of the 2000s; Protoje, Lila Iké and Sevana carry forward Jamaica’s modern reggae revival and its dialogue with soul and R&B. 450 brings the new wave of dancehall, while Jemere Morgan extends reggae’s generational lineage. At the center are Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and Stephen Marley, whose Traffic Jam set bridges reggae’s foundation and its continued evolution.
The cruise’s famed Sound Clash at Sea also returns, with Stone Love (Geefus), King Jammy, Silverhawk Sound, Rory Stone Love, Renaissance Sound, Federation Sound, Warrior Sound, Rampage Sound, Kingston12 HiFi and Souljah1 Muzik bringing one of Jamaican music’s defining traditions into the middle of the Caribbean.
Since its launch in 2014, Jamrock has grown well beyond the stage while keeping Jamaican culture at its center. The five-day experience spans Jamaican cuisine from acclaimed Chef Lumley, Nyabinghi sunrise sessions, sound baths and fitness programming, including the new Paradise Flow, a Pilates and meditation session with Naomi Cowan, and dancehall classes with Ravers Clavers’ Trey Smith. Elsewhere on the ship, cruisers can jump into Ludi and domino tournaments, mini golf and go-karting, while themed All White, Blackout and Rep Your Country nights take over after dark. New this year, legendary Jamaican playwright and actor Oliver Samuels brings live theater aboard Jamrock for the first time.
Following the impact of Hurricane Melissa in 2025, Jamrock returns to Jamaica this year with renewed purpose, maintaining its distinction as the only chartered cruise with two Jamaican port stops, this year Falmouth and Ocho Rios.
The story behind the cruise is also the subject of the new documentary All in the Same Boat, directed by Reshma B and produced by Boomshots TV. Premiered by VIBE, the film traces the idea conceived by Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and his manager Dan Dalton from an unlikely proposition into an enduring institution in reggae and dancehall culture.
