DanceHall Icon Patra is writing the next chapter of her remarkable Career with the release of "No Threat", the first in a wave of new music, international performances and the global distribution partnership among her +Plus Entertainment Inc., J-House Entertainment and Sony Orchard.
Unmistakably Patra, “No Threat” is a declaration from the woman who achieved historic milestones that set the blueprint for female dancehall artistes crossing over into the mainstream global market. Signed to Epic Records/Sony Music in the 1990s, her success was defined by unprecedented sales certifications and commanding chart presence across the United States.
“No Threat is the answer for people who keep asking me if I can still do it because there are younger artistes,” says Patra. “I set the stage internationally. There’s a big cake and everybody can have a slice. I’m Queen of the Pack, and there’s no threat.”
Patra also salutes the late reggae legend Cocoa Tea, whose enduring message mirrors the spirit behind the song. “I have to big up Cocoa Tea because when I wrote this song, I didn’t even realize we shared the same vibe. Much respect to a true legend.”
