G33ZZ Leaves His Mark With New Single “Tattoo”

Recording artiste G33ZZ has started 2026 with a trendy new track titled Tattoo.

Released on January 14, the song— which cites production credits to Slone Music and Wave State Entertainment— is actually a creative take on a track by international R&B artiste Miguel.

“The inspiration came from Miguel’s Girl With A Tattoo. I have an unhealthy addiction to the song and wanted to remix. Unfortunately, I couldn't. So, I just came with my own twist to the idea,” G33ZZ, whose real name is Steven Reid said.

Although it is a fresh release, social media users have already ran with it, by uploading their ‘body art’ photos using the sound. An accompanying music video, shot by Divine Global will premiere on January 18.

“People have been anxious and rushing me to release it from sometime last year. I think people are more excited about the concept of the song because it's not a topic that's touched on frequently,” G33ZZ added.

He further explained that he looks to build on the momentum of Wave State— a track that was released in Summer ‘25.

The multi-genre artiste also explained that his creative process is dynamic. He aims to record music that is universally relatable.

“A lot of the inspiration comes from observation, street conversations, energy around me, things I’ve lived and things I’ve seen others go through. Those moments usually spark the idea or the message.

From there, it often turns into a freestyle. I like to catch the raw feeling first, the melody, flow, cadence before overthinking it. Once that’s locked in, I’ll shape it into a proper song, clean up the bars, and make sure the message hits,” he revealed. 

With a full year ahead of him, the young sensation has his sights sets on making becoming more prominent in the industry.
