Popular dancehall producer Jahvanie “Week.day” Morrison is celebrating a significant milestone as Aidonia’s latest single, Like How Yuh Feel, continues to dominate charts and streaming platforms throughout the Caribbean and beyond.

Released on May 22, the track has amassed more than one million cumulative streams across digital platforms while earning impressive placements on Apple Music charts across multiple territories.

The song reached the coveted No. 1 position in the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, Grenada, St. Kitts, and St. Lucia. It also peaked at No. 2 in Antigua, Anguilla, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados. In Jamaica, the single secured the No. 12 spot on the Kingston Top 25 chart, underscoring its strong appeal among dancehall fans across the region.

For Week.day, the achievement marks a rewarding chapter in a creative relationship with Aidonia that has been years in the making.

“This is not my first time working with him, but it’s the first time releasing one of the many projects we have worked on,” Week.day shared.

According to the producer, the connection developed organically through mutual industry relationships, including Aidonia’s association with fellow artiste 450.

“The connection has been there for quite a while through him and 450 connecting. We’ve crossed paths at a lot of concerts and music festivals, so that’s where it started from until we started making some studio connects,” he explained.

The collaboration came together through a combination of chemistry, creativity, and a shared commitment to quality music. Week.day crafted the riddim and later sent it to Aidonia, who quickly developed an idea for the record.

“Working with Aidonia is good vibes. Positive energy, the work ethic is crazy. I created the riddim, sent it to him, and he made me hear the idea one day at a music festival. From there we worked on the mix, release, arrangement, etcetera,” said the producer.

As the song continues to gain momentum, Week.day says the overwhelming response from fans has been one of the most rewarding aspects of the release.

“It’s great to see that when you put out music the fans love it. Seeing it chart number one in so many countries was a great feeling,” he said.

The producer attributes much of his success to consistency and patience, principles he believes are essential for longevity in the music business.

“My formula is to always create even when you don’t feel like it. Keep working and let the emotions flow through the music, and always be patient,” Week.day stated.

With the success of Like How Yuh Feel continuing to build, Week.day is already focused on his next wave of releases. His recently launched Super Glue Riddim features collaborations with artistes such as 450 and Silk Boss, with additional high-profile names expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

He also revealed plans for an upcoming release from Jamarii featuring 450, describing the track as a major career moment for the emerging artiste.

As his profile continues to rise, Week.day remains committed to delivering impactful music and building on the momentum generated by one of the Caribbean’s biggest dancehall records of the year.
