A powerful night of roots, dub and sound system culture is set for Friday, January 23, 2026, as DUBWISE: Many Rivers to Cross brings legendary selector David Rodigan back to Kingston. The event, presented by Jake’s Treasure Beach in aid of the BREDS Treasure Beach Foundation, runs from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM at 10A West Kings House Road.
Many Rivers to Cross is a purpose-driven cultural staging aimed at supporting the ongoing recovery efforts in St Elizabeth following the passage of Hurricane Melissa. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the BREDS Treasure Beach Foundation, helping to fund relief initiatives, family support, and long-term community development programmes across the parish.

The event will feature legendary selector David Rodigan, acclaimed Jamaican cultural voice and sound system pioneer Rory Stone Love, and iconic Dancehall sound system Renaissance led by selectors Jazzy T and Delano, with an opening set by Dubwise Sound Station. The lineup promises an elevated and authentic sound system experience of Dub, Roots and Reggae heritage.
“We are honoured to host world-renowned DJ David Rodigan back in Jamaica for a night of exceptional entertainment, while supporting the essential work of the BREDS Treasure Beach Foundation as they continue helping families and communities in St Elizabeth following Hurricane Melissa,” said Jason Henzell, Chairman of Jakes Hotel in Treasure Beach. “This event is about celebrating our musical heritage while giving back in a meaningful way,” said Jason Panton of Dubwise Jamaica. “The support raised helps the foundation continue the work on the ground, supporting recovery and strengthening communities.”
Designed for serious music lovers, cultural tastemakers, and supporters of reggae’s global legacy, DUBWISE: Many Rivers to Cross stands as both a celebration of Jamaica’s sound system tradition and a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a cause that remains urgent for the people of St Elizabeth.
